NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Second-year head baseball coach Mik Aoki has announced the release of some additional spots for the 2012 Notre Dame Baseball Youth Winter Hitting Clinic and Winter Development Clinic. Both clinics will take place on Jan. 28, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 at Notre Dame’s indoor hitting facility at Frank Eck Stadium. The Feb. 4 and Feb. 11 clinics quickly sold out, but the Irish coaching staff will allow limited overflow into the 4:30-6:00 p.m. ET time slot due to the high demand of each clinic.
The youth winter hitting clinics will run from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. ET. It affords boys and girls, ages 6-12, the opportunity to be instructed by the Notre Dame staff in all facets of hitting. The cost of each session will be $25 and players have the option of attending only one session or all three. Each clinic session will be limited to 24 players and spots will be secured on a first come, first served basis.
The winter development clinics will feature three sessions devoted to hitting and one session focused on pitching/catching. Each clinic will allow high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors the opportunity to be instructed by the Notre Dame staff. The hitting portion of the clinics will run from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET, while the pitching/catching clinic is available only on Feb. 4 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET. The cost of each hitting session will be $35, while the pitching/catching clinic will cost $50. Each hitting clinic will be limited to 24 players, while the pitching/catching clinic will be limited to 12 pitchers and four catchers. Availability will be secured on a first come, first served basis.
All interested participants must submit a completed application form. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis until all positions are filled. Acceptance will be verified upon receipt of the confirmation packet.
