NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame has announced kickoff times for its six home football games for the 2012 season, as well as for its off-site home game at Soldier Field in Chicago:

NBC will televise all six home games nationally from Notre Dame Stadium, as well as the Oct. 6 game against Miami from Soldier Field in Chicago. CBS will televise the Notre Dame-Navy game live from Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Purdue (40th appearance at Notre Dame, 36th at Notre Dame Stadium), Michigan (19th at Notre Dame, 16th at Notre Dame Stadium), Stanford (14th, all at Notre Dame Stadium) and Pittsburgh (31st at Notre Dame Stadium) all last played at Notre Dame in 2010. BYU will be making its fifth stop at Notre Dame Stadium (previous games at Notre Dame in 1992, 1994, 2003 and 2005). Wake Forest will be coming to Notre Dame Stadium for the first time.

Eight of the 2012 Notre Dame opponents played in postseason bowl games following the 2011 season – Purdue (won Little Caesars Pizza Bowl vs. Western Michigan), Michigan State (won Outback Bowl vs. Georgia), Michigan (won Sugar Bowl vs. Virginia Tech), Stanford (Fiesta Bowl vs. Oklahoma State), BYU (won Armed Forces Bowl vs. Tulsa), Oklahoma (won Insight Bowl vs. Iowa), Pittsburgh (BBVA Compass Bowl vs. SMU) and Wake Forest (Music City Bowl vs. Mississippi State).

Please note that South Bend observes Eastern time (including DST) all year around. In 2012, daylight time ends and standard time begins on Nov. 4.
