Notre Dame - Alaska Hockey Game To Be Televised By WHME-TV 46

Notre Dame, Ind. – Notre Dame hockey fans will have an opportunity to see the Irish play on the road when they travel to Fairbanks, Alaska on Feb. 16.

WHME-TV 46 has announced that they will carry the Notre Dame-Alaska game that will be played on Friday, Feb. 16 on tape delay Saturday, Feb. 17 at 9:30 a.m. The contest is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. face off in Fairbanks (11:05 p.m. EST).

The replay will carry the action and play-by-play of Fairbanks’ Fox Channel 7 that will broadcast the game live in Alaska from the Carlson Center.

This tape delay broadcast gives the Irish three more games to be televised locally over the last eight regular-season games. On Sat., Feb. 10, Notre Dame’s home game with Nebraska-Omaha will be televised by Comcast Local at 7:05 p.m. The regular-season finale on Sat., Feb. 24 versus Ferris State will also be televised at 7:05 p.m. by Comcast Local.

The Irish go into this weekend (Feb. 2-3) at Bowling Green with a 21-5-2 record and are 15-3-2 in the CCHA, good for a three-point lead over second-place Miami with two games in hand. Notre Dame is ranked second in both the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com/CSTV polls.
