NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame women’s golf head coach Debby King has announced the signing of Jane Lee (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif.) to a national letter-of-intent to attend the University next fall. Lee and Alejandra Diaz-Calderon (Guadalajara, Mexico), who signed with Notre Dame on November 12, will make up the Irish class of 2008.

“We are very excited to have Jane sign with us. Her talent as a golfer will definitely be an asset to our program,” said King.

Lee is a highly-talented golfer both on the high school and junior playing scenes. During her high school career at Peninsula HS, Lee has won four tournaments, which includes earning medalist honors out of a field of 122 at the Dessert Championship. Lee also has earned All-American honors twice at the American Junior Golfers Association (AJGA) National Tournament. Lee placed first at both the AJGA Arizona Ping Junior Championship and AJGA Minnesota 1220/Compaq Junior Championship. Interestingly, Lee won the Junior Worlds Tournament (13-14 year olds) in July of 2000 by beating out her future teammate, Diaz-Calderon, by two strokes.
