No. 5 Irish Women's Tennis Ready for Weekend Home Stand

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The fifth-ranked Fighting Irish women’s tennis team is set for a two-match home stand this weekend at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

On Friday, Notre Dame hosts 12th-ranked North Carolina at 3 p.m. The Tar Heels are 9-2 this season and are coming off 7-0 victories over both Davidson and Elon on Feb. 19.

The Irish will be back at the Eck on Sunday to host No. 23 Wake Forest at noon. The Demon Deacons upset No. 25 Texas A&M, 6-1, on Feb. 22 to improve their record to 8-1. Wake Forest is scheduled to play at Indiana on Feb. 28th before their matchup with the Irish.

Notre Dame is 9-1 this season and currently riding a three-match win streak. The Irish picked up two road victories last weekend, defeating BYU, 6-1, and Utah, 7-0.

The Irish are 39-14 in dual singles matches this season and hold a 20-8 doubles record.
