THE OHIO STATE SERIES
• Saturday will be the 44th meeting all time between Notre Dame and Ohio State. The Irish lead the all-time series with the Buckeyes, holding a 34-9 advantage in the matchup.
• The most recent installment between the two sides came last season at Ohio Stadium. The Irish won by a final score of 9-8.
• The Irish have won each of the last 16 matchups with Ohio State, including the 9-0 shutout at Arlotta Stadium on March 21, 2015, which is the last time the Irish held an opponent scoreless in a game.
• Notre Dame holds a 17-3 edge over the Buckeyes in the series when playing at home.
NOTRE DAME VS. TOP-10 TEAMS
• Notre Dame is 36-27 against teams ranked in the top 10 in the USILA Coaches Poll since the start of the 2008 season, including a mark of 2-0 in 2019.
• The Irish are 14-12 since 2012 against teams ranked in the top five in the USILA Coaches Poll.

• The team’s best second quarter performance came at No. 11 Virginia, outscoring the Cavaliers 6-1.
THE 300 CLUB
• Baumer Family Head Men’s Lacrosse Coach Kevin Corrigan is one of just four active Division I coaches to reach the 300-win mark.
• Corrigan has an overall record of 308-155 in his 32 seasons of coaching.
• The head coach is 298-141 in his 30 seasons at Notre Dame.
• Corrigan is the longest tenured men’s lacrosse coach at the DI level.
THE X-FACTOR
• Junior FOGO Charlie Leonard turned in one of the best performances at the X in program history against Michigan, winning 20-of-24 face-offs.
• Leonard won the majority of the face-offs cleanly, recording a career-high 16 ground balls against the Wolverines.
• The junior has won 74-of-132 face-offs on the season as the primary FOGO for the Irish and has scored four goals.
BALANCED ATTACK
• The Irish have five players with 14 or more points entering Saturday’s game.
• Senior attackman Brendan Gleason (12G, 6A) leads the team in points and Bryan Costabile (13G, 2A), Connor Morin (10G, 5A) and Brian Willetts (12G, 3A) each have 15.
• Sophomore midfielder Wheaton Jackoboice (7G, 7A) has 14 points, including a team-high seven assists.
• Eight Notre Dame players have recorded the first goals of their career in 2019 (Connor Morin, Griffin Westlin, Charlie Leonard, Wheaton Jackoboice, Quinn McCahon, Mo Mirer, John Hallenbeck and Stephen Chase).
STIFLING DEFENSE
• Notre Dame’s dominating defense has picked up right where it left off from 2018 in the first six games of the season. The Irish are allowing 9.5 goals per game in 2019, holding Richmond (9), Detroit Mercy (6), No. 8 Denver (7) and Michigan (9) to fewer than 10 scores.
•The Irish have caused 52 turnovers over the first six games this season.
• Even more impressively, the Irish held Detroit Mercy scoreless for a stretch of 31:55 between the second and fourth quarters.
• The Irish allowed an average of 9.6 goals per game to rank 18th in the country in 2018, despite facing some of the most potent attacks at the DI level.
• Notre Dame held 10 of its 15 opponents to fewer than 10 goals in 2018.
• The Irish returned all three starting close defensemen from last season’s squad along with their goalkeeper.
