2019 ND Hockey Outdoor Game At Notre Dame Stadium Notre Dame and Michigan took the ice for the first Collegiate hockey game in the history of the iconic venue

NOTRE DAME STADIUM

The contest was played in front of a record crowd of 23,422 fans, the most to ever watch a home Notre Dame hockey contest.
Between the Winter Classic, presented by Bridgestone, on New Year's Day, and the January 5th tilt between the Irish & Wolverines, nearly 100,000 hockey fans filled Notre Dame Stadium.

NEW ICE, NEW THREADS

The Irish wore special uniforms for the event, highlighted by retro gloves and pants. The combination was a nod to uniform styles from the program's beginnings, which dates back to outdoor games at the current site of Badin Hall and Saint Mary's Lake, and Notre Dame's football team, which traditionally wears gold pants and navy jerseys at home.

HERE COME THE IRISH

LET'S TAKE THIS OUTSIDE

Cam Morrison & Alex Steeves each netted goals for the Irish in what was a 4-2 victory for the visitors.

The Irish coaching staff also wore retro varsity letterman jackets for the historic contest.

FAMILY SKATE & OUTDOOR PRACTICE

On January 4th, the Irish hit the ice for the first time at Notre Dame Stadium for a practice the day prior to puck drop. After the tune-up, the team invited alums, family and friends to share the ice with them.
