Women's Hoops Hosting YWCA Toiletries Drive on Jan. 13

NOTRE DAME, Ind. –  When the No. 1 Notre Dame women’s basketball team returns to the court to take on Wake Forest on Sunday, Jan. 13, the program will also be hosting its annual toiletries drive for the Young Women’s Christian Association (YWCA).
 
The YWCA is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. Each year nearly 3,400 women and children are served by the YWCA in both Elkhart and St. Joseph Counties.
 
Notre Dame is encouraging all fans in attendance this Sunday to help make a difference. Below is a list of immediate needs for women and children staying at the YWCA North Central Indiana Shelters:

  • Shampoo & Conditioner for all hair types
  • Body Wash
  • Combs/Brushes
  • Deodorant, women, men and teenagers
  • Blankets/Sheets (twin size)
  • Pillows (New)
  • Wash Cloths/Towels
  • Infant & Children’s Pajamas, Bibs and Burp Cloths
  • Diapers (all sizes)
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Toothpaste (Children)
  • School Uniforms (All Sizes)
  • Women’s Clothing

 
Tip-off for Sunday’s ACC contest is set for 1 p.m. ET, streaming live on ACCN Extra, inside Purcell Pavilion.
