Fighting Irish Media Presents 2018 ‘For Notre Dame: The Playoff’ Series

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Fighting Irish Media, the video production, storytelling and athletics communication arm of the University of Notre Dame athletics department, has announced a behind-the-scenes, all-access miniseries that will chronicle the No. 3-ranked Fighting Irish football team’s postseason.

Notre Dame recently capped a 12-0 regular season, the program’s 13th unbeaten, untied regular season in school history. Dick Corbett Head Football Coach Brian Kelly has now led the Irish to back-to-back 10-win seasons — a first time for the program since 1992-93. In fact, Notre Dame owns a 13-game winning streak, which is tied for the third longest in school history since 1950, behind the school-record 23 straight in 1988-89 and 17 consecutive in 1992-93. The 1973-74 squads also won 13 in a row.

About Notre Dame Football

The University of Notre Dame’s long-standing historical success in football features 11 consensus national championships captured over the course of six different decades. The Irish title tradition dates back to Knute Rockne and the Four Horsemen, who collaborated on Notre Dame’s first consensus crown in 1924. The Irish have produced seven Heisman Trophy winners — and no college football program in the country can claim more. Notre Dame has produced more first-team All-Americans (192), consensus All-Americans (101) and unanimous All-Americans (34) than any other program in the nation.
