Getting To Know … Tight End Tyler Eifert No. 80 * 6-6 * 242 * So. – Ft. Wayne, Ind./Bishop Dwenger

Sophomore Tyler Eifert looks to make a big contribution and add even more depth to an already talented tight end corps in his second year with the team. After making a recovery from back surgery that ended his freshman season early, Eifert is back healthy and ready to return to the field for the Irish. Eifert, along with seniors Mike Ragone and Bobby Burger and preseason All-American junior Kyle Rudolph, will look to establish themselves as one of the best tight ends units in the nation. GameDay’s Kevin Paczesny gives Irish fans a chance to get to know Tyler Eifert.

Paczesny: What is your major?
Eifert: I’m currently enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business.

Paczesny: What is your favorite place on campus?
Eifert: The best place to be at is LaFortune.

Paczesny: What is your favorite Coach Kelly saying?
Eifert: He likes to say, “Are you kidding me, knucklehead?”

Paczesny: If you could have an energy drink named after you what would it be called?
Eifert: I’d say it would have to be called “Utopia.”

Paczesny: If you were a candy, what would you be and why?
Eifert: I would have to say I’d be a KitKat Bar because it is my favorite.

Paczesny: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, whom would you like to see play you in the lead role?
Eifert: Bruce Willis is the guy I’d want to portray me.

Paczesny: What song/genre on your iPod would surprise people?
Eifert: I think the thing that would surprise people the most is that I like Reggae.

Paczesny: If you could make a dream foursome to play golf with who would you include (living or dead)?
Eifert: The three other players would be Tiger Woods, Charles Barkley and Phil Mickelson.

Paczesny: If Coach Kelly was not coaching, what would he be doing for a living?
Eifert: He would be a drill sergeant in the Army.

Paczesny: What teammate has the best nickname and what is it?
Eifert: Brian Smith has the best. We call him “Pup.”

Paczesny: If you could have any superpower, what would you want?
Eifert: I want to be able to fly.

Paczesny: If you could trade places with any person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. Who would it be?
Eifert: I would want to be a young, rich retired guy, so I could play golf every day.

Paczesny: What was your best Halloween costume growing up?
Eifert: Being a Power Ranger.

Paczesny: What was the one thing that sold you on Notre Dame?
Eifert: The opportunities it gives you after you graduate is the one thing that stood out the most to me.

Paczesny: What TV show would you say people would be surprised that you watch?
Eifert: Keeping up with the Kardashians.

Paczesny: Where would you go in history if you had a time machine?
Eifert: I would go back to when I was eight years old because nothing really matters and you get to play all day.

Paczesny: What is your favorite video game of all-time?
Eifert: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Paczesny: Who has been most influential on your life?
Eifert: My parents are because I have learned everything from them. The have told me all aobut my family roots
