NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame has sold approximately 10,000 tickets – its entire allotment – for the 2013 New Era Pinstripe Bowl in five days, it was announced Thursday by Assistant Athletics Director of Ticketing & Technology Rob Kelly.

“Our fan base is excited to see the Fighting Irish return to Yankee Stadium to play Rutgers in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl,” said Kelly. “We are delighted by the response we received for this bowl game and know it will be a memorable experience for those that attend.”

Notre Dame has sold its entire ticket allotment for each of its last four bowl game appearances. In addition to this year’s Pinstripe, the Irish exhausted their allotment for the 2010 Sun, 2011 Champs Sports and 2013 BCS National Championship.

Notre Dame will play Rutgers at Noon ET on Dec. 28 at the historic Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, N.Y.
