NCAA Hockey West Regional Game Between Notre Dame And New Hampshire To Be Televised Locally By WHME-TV 46

Notre Dame, Ind. – WHME-TV 46 in conjunction with the University of Notre Dame will carry the Notre Dame hockey team’s West Regional game against the University of New Hampshire live on Friday, March 28 beginning at 6:30 p.m. (EDT) in the Michiana area.

The first game of the West Regional with Notre Dame and New Hampshire is being held in Colorado Springs, Colo., and will also be available on ESPN 360 and broadcast on tape delay on ESPNU at 1:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28.

The game will be ESPNs broadcast with Clay Matvick handling the play-by-play duties, Damian DiGuilian providing color commentary and Jim Paradise serving as the rinkside announcer.

The second game of the regional between Colorado College and Michigan State is available on ESPNU only as is Saturday’s West Regional Championship game. The second regional will begin at 10:00 p.m. (EDT) and Saturday’s game has a 10:00 p.m. start locally.

Notre Dame comes into Friday’s game as the No. 4 seed in the regional with a 24-15-4 overall record. New Hampshire (25-9-3) is the No. 1 seed and won the Hockey East regular-season championship. The host school, Colorado College, is 28-11-1 on the year and the No. 2 seed in the regional. Michigan State (24-11-5) finished third in the CCHA regular season and is the No. 3 seed in Colorado Springs. The Spartans are the defending national champions.

This is the second time this season that WHME has carried Irish hockey. TV 46 also carried the Notre Dame-Alaska game from Fairbanks, Alaska from Feb. 15 on tape delay the following evening, Feb. 16, at 7:00 p.m.
