NEW YORK – Add another line to Troy Murphy’s basketball resume.
The junior forward made the record books by winning the Big East Player of the Year title for the second consecutive year.
His freshman year, the Big East named Murphy, Rookie of the Year.
This year, Murphy shares his honor with Boston College’s Troy Bell. The Big East also named Murphy to first team all-Big East.
The only other Notre Dame player honored was forward Ryan Humphrey. The Irish forward was named to the Big East’s third team.
