Monogram Club Announces Notice Of Annual Meeting

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Monogram Club’s Annual Mass and Meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. (eastern) on Saturday, April 20, 2013 in the Monogram Room of the Joyce Center. At that time, and pursuant to the Club’s bylaws, the nominating committee of the Monogram Club will recommend the following slate of directors to serve a 3-year term from 2013 – 2016:

  • Will McCarthy ’95 & ’99 (swimming)
  • Phil Murphy ’99 (soccer)
  • Chinedum Ndukwe ’07 (football)
  • Kathleen Vogt Robert ’93 (fencing)
  • Rob Williamson ’93 (lacrosse)

Pursuant to the bylaws, the nominating committee will also recommend to the membership the following slate of officers to serve a 2-year term from 2013-2015:

  • President – Haley Scott DeMaria ’95 (swimming)
  • 1st Vice President – Kevin O’Connor ’89 (lacrosse)
  • 2nd Vice President – Terri Vitale ’94 & ’95 (tennis)
  • Past President – Dick Nussbaum ’74 & ’77 (baseball)
  • Treasurer – Pat Garrity ’98 (basketball)
  • Secretary – Mike Frantz ’73 (football)

Additionally, the Monogram Club board of directors has recommended amendments to the Club’s bylaws, which will require a vote of approval by the membership. Changes are reflective of the actual practice of the Club and its board of directors, and in particular, will reflect the following substantive amendments:

  • The utilization of the internet for notice provisions and means for participation in board or executive committee meetings
  • More clearly define benefits associated with membership (dues paying vs. non dues-paying)
  • More clearly define the members and roles of the executive committee
  • Establishment of a past presidents council
