Irish Prepare for First Midweek of the Season Against Elon

  • Notre Dame begins its midweek slate of games this season against Elon this Tuesday.
  • The Irish and Phoenix are set to meet for the third time in program history and are meeting for the first time since 1963.
  • The previous meetings between the two schools occurred in a double header on April 15, 1963 and the Irish won both games by a score of 7-0 and 9-2.
  • Elon comes into the matchup with a 6-5 record this season and went 2-2 last week.
  • They lost on the road in a midweek contest with Wake Forest and took two-out-of-three in a home series over Toledo.
  • In 2021, Elon went 22-22 and finished 8-10 in CAA play.
  • The Irish are riding a six-game winning streak into the contest and have won both road games so far this season.

Irish Win Cambria College Classic With 3-1 Victory Over Minnesota
