Junior Guard Patrice Holmes
On hitting the final free throws…
“I was very confident and I had no doubt in mind that I was going to hit those shots. I would say that those are the biggest shots that I have ever taken.”

Senior Guard Keisha McClinic
On North Carolina’s early runs…
“We did not come into the game thinking that we were going to lose the game. Our coaches always tell us that the game is full of runs and they made their run early. It was time for us to play our own ball and we were able to get back in the game. We had it in our minds that we could stay with them, and we knew that if we played our hearts out we would be successful.”

On fan support…
“It was great to see our family and friends out there. We had a bus come to support us. Just looking out there, knowing people were supporting you, just pumps you up.”

Sophomore Forward Tia Stovall
On playing with Krystle Horton…
“I don’t know what you can call it, but it just seems like when I have the ball, I know where she is. And when she has the ball, she seems to know where I am. There are things that Krystle can do, that I can’t and there are things I can do, that she can’t. When you put us together, I don’t think anyone can stop us.”
