On being in the NCAA Tournament…
“It’s why you work the entire season as hard as you do. It’s for this moment. We’re very excited to be here, and we’re very proud of the things we’ve accomplished to this point, but by no means are we satisfied and content with where we are. We expect to compete in tomorrow afternoon’s tip-off against North Carolina.”

On the long layoff since her team last played…
“For the most part, everybody’s in the same boat. We took several days off. You need a few days off after the rigors of the season and three straight days in the conference tournament. When you look down the road at your team and see that they could be on spring break right now, and not once have I heard that mentioned, lets me know that they’re ready to play.”

On the impact of Krystle Horton…
“She has been a phenomenal freshman impact. As freshmen come into our program, and as we recruit good players, we expect them to be immediately impacting. Krystle and Tia [Stovall] give us size and strength on our front line which we’ve never had before.”

On the role of Patrice Holmes…
“Patrice is a phenomenal player. As much as she brings on the basketball floor, and in practice every single day, she brings so much more away from the court of basketball. When you have that person who is your point guard, your floor general, and the heart and drive of your team, and she is in a package that is so selfless, then you’re going to have a lot of success.”
