Senior Guard Keisha McClinic
On the added pressure of not getting good looks…
“I don’t think that it was added pressure. I just knew in my mind that we had to keep being more aggressive and continue to work hard until the clock runs down. That was what we were trying to do.”

On the success of her team this year…
“Our program is going to rise tremendously. We earned a lot of respect in this tournament and we have gotten farther than ever before. We came out of this season with the title of Sun Belt Conference champions and we made it through to the second round of the NCAAs. I couldn’t ask for a better senior season. I think that the rest of the team that is coming back will advance even farther because we do have good talent coming back.”

Junior Guard Patrice Holmes
On Jacqueline Batteast…
“We wanted to try to keep the ball out of her hands as much as possible, but she seemed to get the ball a good amount of times. We had to just put pressure on and try to deny her open shots. “

On the second half Irish zone defense…
“I just had a very poor offensive night. When my shots were just not falling, I began to get very frustrated.”
