Men's Soccer Releases 2020 Fall Schedule

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s soccer program and head coach Chad Riley announced the 2020 schedule, a slate that features eight regular season matches and a chance to compete for an ACC Tournament title.

CHALLENGING SLATE AHEAD
Notre Dame never shies away from playing one of the toughest schedules in the country and the 2020 slate will be no different. All eight of Notre Dame’s 2020 opponents qualified for the NCAA Championship last season.

2020 ATTENDANCE POLICY FOR HOME MATCHES
Until further notice, while the University is in session during the fall semester, spectators will not be allowed at home sporting events unless otherwise specified.

The University will monitor the health and safety of the campus and local community throughout the fall semester – working closely with health officials in formulating policies and procedures.

All home games for men’s soccer will air on ACCN or ACCNX.

FIVE-MATCH HOME SLATE
The Irish will host five matches at Alumni Stadium this fall, including the season-opener on Thursday, Sept. 17 against Kentucky at 7 p.m. ET. Notre Dame will also welcome Pitt (9/26), Syracuse (10/9), Virginia (10/24) and Louisville (11/6).

ROAD WORK AHEAD
Notre Dame’s 2020 fall schedule features just three road matches, but each will present a challenge, as all three are against tough conference foes. The Irish will travel to play Louisville (10/2), Virginia Tech (10/16) and Pitt (10/30).

TOURNEY TIME
The 2020 ACC Tournament will have a different format from previous years. Eight teams (top four teams in each region) will qualify for the tourney with the quarterfinals set for Nov. 15 and semifinals on Nov. 18, hosted at the four North Carolina schools. The ACC Championship will be played Sunday, Nov. 22, at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C.
