ND Lacrosse Experience: 2019 Spring Break

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Irish have a busy spring break on tap, as the team will span the country with games on each coast. The Irish will take on No. 8 Denver in the annual Pacific Coast Shootout and No. 12 Virginia the following weekend. The week in between games is filled with activities in southern California, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania and Charlottesville, Virginia.

PACIFIC COAST SHOOTOUT VS. NO. 8 DENVER

Kicking off the spring break trip is a highly anticipated non-conference matchup with No. 8 Denver at 10 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 9. The game will be played at Lebard Stadium in Costa Mesa, California.

HARLEM LACROSSE CLINIC & LUNCH AT JOHN AND MOLLIE BAUMER’S HOUSE

On Monday, March 10 the team will have a great opportunity with an outreach event, as the guys will team up with Harlem Lacrosse to host a morning clinic at Mira Costa High School. Following the clinic the team will head to John and Mollie Baumer’s house for lunch. The Baumers are supporters of the program and generously endowed the Notre Dame lacrosse head coaching position.

TOUR OF PIMCO (PACIFIC INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT COMPANY)

In Notre Dame’s final full day in California (March 11), the squad will take a tour of PIMCO, which is an American investment management firm focusing on fixed income. This continues the tradition of exploring networking opportunities for student-athletes as a key part of the program’s mission.

TOUR OF GETTYSBURG

After flying from the west coast to the east coast on Tuesday, the Irish will make the trek to Gettysburg National Military Park on Wednesday, March 13 to tour the hallowed grounds of the Civil War battle site. The team will learn all about the history of one of the most pivotal events in U.S. history.

TEAM MOVIE

Following a morning practice and an evening team dinner in Charlottesville, Virginia, the team will get to relax and unwind at a local cinema for a team movie.

ACC OPENER VERSUS NO. 11 VIRGINIA

The Irish open ACC play on Saturday, March 16, as they take on No. 12 Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia at Klockner Stadium at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra via the WatchESPN app. The team will then head back to Notre Dame that evening to conclude the spring break extravaganza.
