Irish Complete Round Two at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The Notre Dame men’s golf team wrapped round two action of The Prestige on Tuesday, shooting a 299 (+15). The Irish, now 28 over-par in the tournament, will begin the final round on Wednesday in 14th place, with just a five-stroke differential in between them and the next six teams.
 
Round Two
Taichi Kho carded the best round for the Irish. The freshman recorded birdies on holes four and six before back-to-back bogeys on eight and nine resulted in an even-par front nine. Kho bounced back with a birdie on 10 but later tallied a bogey on 18 to card a 71 (E). As a result, Kho jumped 22 spots in the standings to move up to 44th place.
 
Lamb, who entered round two in sixth place after shooting a 69 (-2) on Monday, suffered a setback in round two. The junior shot four-over on both the front and back, finishing with a 79 (+8), slipping to 37th place overall.
 
Hunter Ostrom started the round with five straight pars on both the front and back nine. The junior ultimately scored a 75 (+4). Next, John Felitto carded a 76 (+5) while Miguel Delgado recorded a 77 (+6).
