The Atlantic Coast Conference has released its 2018-19 post-season honors and University of Notre Dame men’s basketball junior forward John Mooney was named to the All-ACC Third Team, while also finishing as the runner up for the league’s Most Improved Player Award.

Mooney led the ACC in rebounds per game (11.2) and double-doubles (19) while compiling the most double-doubles in conference play (13) since Tim Duncan’s record of 15 in 1996-97. The Orlando, Florida, native improved his scoring from 5.6 points per game in 2017-18 to 14.1 this season and his rebound average from 3.9 to 11.2.
