Notre Dame vs. Tennessee Chattanooga Box Score

HONOLULU (AP) – Ryan Humphrey and Matt Carroll each scored 20 points to lead Notre Dame to a 97-84 victory over Tennessee-Chattanooga in the semifinal round of the Hawaii Pacific Thanksgiving Classic on Saturday night

Notre Dame (4-0) will meet Monmouth in the title game Sunday. Tennessee-Chattanooga (2-1) will play Vanderbilt in the third-place game.

Chris Thomas and Harold Swanagan each had 19 points, and David Graves added 13 for the Irish. Swanagan and Graves each finished with 10 rebounds.

Tim Parker led Tennessee-Chattanooga with 23 points and seven rebounds. Neil Ashby added 20 points, Petie Spaulding 12.

Carroll hit four 3-point shots in the first half to help Notre Dame to a 40-34 lead. He added two more 3s in the second half, and finished 6-for-6 from beyond the arc.

Humphrey scored 16 of his 20 points in the second half, and scored five of Notre Dame’s first six baskets, helping the Irish push their lead to 54-42.

Tennessee-Chattanooga closed within 88-79 with 51.6 seconds left on a 3-pointer by Parker.

Notre Dame shot 57 percent (31-for-54) overall and 67 percent (10-for-15) from 3-point range. Tennessee-Chattanooga shot 46 percent (31-for-67) overall and 43 percent (6-for-14) from beyond the arc.
