Men's Tennis Program Now On Twitter

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Fans of the Notre Dame men’s tennis program can now keep up with the Fighting Irish through use of the nation’s fastest growing on-line social network, Twitter. Recently, the Notre Dame men’s tennis program unveiled its own official Twitter page at http://twitter.com/NDMensTennis.

Twitter is a free micro-blogging platform that will enhance fans’ connection with the Notre Dame men’s tennis program. Following the men’s tennis page and subsequent updates (referred to as “tweets”) will allow fans to stay connected with everything going on behind the scenes with the Fighting Irish program during the summer and into the start of the 2009-10 fall season. Notre Dame associate head coach Ryan Sachire is a regular contributor to the team’s Twitter page and will help keep followers up to date on all tennis related news regarding past and present players throughout summer.

Twitter is a free social networking service that allows its users to send and read updates, also known as “tweets.” Tweets are text-based updates of up to 140 characters. Tweets can be received on a user’s cell phone via text, via the Web, through RSS feeds or via instant messaging.
