Feb. 18, 2018

Notre Dame, Ind. – After a short week back in South Bend, the Notre Dame men’s golf team is back at it again, this time jetting west to La Quinta, California, to compete in the Prestige at PGA West. The three-day, three-round event begins Monday, Feb. 19, on the Greg Norman Course at 10:30 a.m. ET.

The Greg Norman Course is a 7,100-yard, Par-71. In addition, fans can follow the live scoring at golfstat.com.

THE FIELD
The tournament field consists of 15 teams: UC Davis, East Tennessee, Iowa State, No. 11 LSU, No. 44 Northwestern, Notre Dame, No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 41 Oregon, No. 49 Pepperdine, No. 38 San Diego State, San Francisco, No. 10 Stanford, Stirling, No. 19 USC and Washington.

The 18th annual event promises to be a highly competitive tournament featuring seven teams from last year’s NCAA Championship, and six former NCAA Championship teams, including 2015 champion LSU and 2016 champion Oregon

THE FIGHTING IRISH FIVE
There will be no change in Notre Dame’s lineup in their second tournament of the spring season as Davis Lamb, Davis Chatfield, Hunter Ostrom, Ben Albin and Miguel Delgado will all represent the Blue & Gold.

THE ROAD HERE
The Irish hit a small bump in the road in the 2018 spring opener at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate, finishing sixth with an 873, +9. Notre Dame will take the lessons learned into the strong field at PGA West.

Davis Lamb shone bright last week, recoding the best finish of his young career with a three-under par (213), eighth-place showing. Lamb shot an even-par 72 then followed that up with two rounds of under par at 70 and 71.
