Notre Dame, Ind. – After a three-week hiatus, the University of Notre Dame men’s golf team returns to action in Statesboro, Georiga, where they’ll compete in the 39th Annual Schenkel Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole tournament takes place at the Forest Heights Country Club, a 6,962-yard, par-72 course, first established in 1947.

Fans can follow the live results by visiting golfstat.com. The Irish are paired with Iowa and College of Charleston in the first round, and will officially tee off starting at 9 a.m. ET.

THE FIELD
The Irish will be a part of a 14-team field consisting of two top-10 Golfweek/Sagarin ranked teams: UAB, College of Charleston, ETSU, No. 7 Florida, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, Iowa, No. 42 Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi State, No. 38 NC State, Notre Dame, Richmond and No. 3 Vanderbilt.

This weekend will mark the seventh time in which Notre Dame has participated in the Schenkel Invitational.

THE FIGHTING IRISH FIVE
There will be a slight change to the Irish five at the Schenkel Invitational as Kevin Conners steps in for Hunter Ostrom. Conners will join Ben Albin, Davis Chatfield, Davis Lamb and Miguel Delgado. In addition, John Felitto will compete as an individual.

With just two tournaments under their belt this spring, Davis Lamb has displayed the strongest showing thus far with a 73.40 average. He recorded a top-10 finish at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate and has posted two rounds under par. Davis Chatfield matches Lamb this spring with two of his five rounds under par as well.

After this weekend’s Schenkel Invitational, the Irish will return to California for the second time this spring, competing in the K-State Bighorn Invitational in Palm Desert on March 23.
