Men's Basketball Announces 16-Game BIG EAST Slate For 2005-06

Notre Dame, Ind. – Notre Dame will play DePaul, Marquette and Providence twice as part of its 2005-06 16-game BIG EAST men’s basketball slate.

With the expansion of the league to 16 schools, each team will face 10 opponents once and three opponents twice (home and away), but will not play two teams.

In addition to playing the Blue Demons, Golden Eagles and Friars both home and away, the Irish play host to Georgetown, Rutgers, South Florida, Syracuse and Villanova and face Connecticut, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall and West Virginia on the road. The two schools Notre Dame will not play during the upcoming campaign are Cincinnati and St. John’s.

Time and dates of each of these games will be announced at a later date.
