The starting times for two Notre Dame tennis matches this week have been moved up one hour. The Irish men’s squad will play host to 17th-ranked Illinois at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday and the women’s team will take on 36th-ranked Iowa at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Both matches will take place at the Courtney Tennis Center and were originally scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. Women’s tennis will also play host to #45 William & Mary on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

The men’s tennis team is 13-2 in 2000-01 and is ranked 10th in the country, marking the first top-10 ranking for the program since 1993. They are currently on a 10-game winning streak. The Irish women are 15-4 in dual-match play, are ranked seventh in the nation and have won six consecutive home matches. Notre Dame is one of just four schools (joined by Duke, Georgia and Stanford) to have both its women’s and men’s teams ranked in the top 10 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings. It also marks the first time in school history.
