Notre Dame, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will play host to the Notre Dame Relays Friday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Rolfs Aquatic Center. The meet will follow a unique format where all the races will be run as relays starting with the 100 freestyle relay and concluding with the 400 free relay. There will also be a three-meter synchronized diving competition that will run simultaneously with the swimming portion of the meet.

Teams competing at the Notre Dame Relays include Notre Dame, Valparaiso, Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette, Illinois State (women only) and Saint Mary’s College (women only).

The Notre Dame women have completely dominated the event in years past winning 17 of 18 meets and holding the meet record in all 11 races. The men have also done well and will be looking to regain some of the meet records they lost last season when a powerful Pittsburgh team rewrote the record book. The Notre Dame men do hold the 400 medley relay record.
