Notre Dame, Ind. – A memorial service for Notre Dame hockey broadcaster Mike Lockert will be held on Thursday, March 12 in the Monogram Room of the Joyce Center at 1:00 p.m. The service is open to the public.

The 43-year old Lockert passed away in his sleep on Friday, Feb. 27th. His family returned him to his hometown of Los Angeles, Calif., where he was buried on Saturday, March 6.

The popular broadcaster was the play-by-play man for Irish hockey for seven seasons starting with the 2002-03 campaign. He also served as the media relations director and broadcaster for the South Bend Silverhawks during his time in South Bend.

Parking will be available in the C-Lot (south of the Joyce Center) and use Gate 8 for entering the building. The Monogram room is on the second level.
