Meghan Perry-Eaton Continues Domination Against Wyoming and Northeastern

Mission Viejo, Calif. – Notre Dame senior diver Meghan Perry-Eaton remained undefeated this season winning both the one- and three-meter diving events January 7, in a tri-meet against Wyoming and Northeastern in Mission Viejo, Calif. Perry-Eaton was first on the one-meter board with 256.85 points and won the three-meter apparatus with 334.40 points.

On the one meter board, Perry-Eaton finished more than 30 points ahead of her next closest competitor. Northeastern’s Laura Lunn was second with 226.20 points, followed by Wyoming’s Sara Haapanen with 219.90 points.

Irish freshman Tyne Feheley competed in her first meet of the year in Mission Viejo, placing sixth on the one-meter board with 185.35. Feheley had missed the first half of the year due to injury. Irish junior Samantha Raneri finished 10th on the lower board with 159.80 points, followed by sophomore Casey Pepak with 154.50.

Perry-Eaton dominated the three-meter event, outscoring Lunn by over 70 points in earning the win. Northeastern’s Becky Johnson was third with 243.35 points, followed by Haapanen with 231.70. Raneri was seventh with 216.00 points, while Pepak was 11th with 160.95 points.
