McMillen to Compete in Three-Point Shooting Championship

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame senior guard Sheila McMillen (Rochester, Ind.), who finished her career as the all-time leading three-pointer shooter in Irish women’s basketball history, will compete in the State Farm Women’s Three-Point Shooting Championship at the Ice Palace in Tampa, Fla. on Thursday, March 25. The competition will air tape-delayed on ESPN that same evening at 9:30 p.m.

McMillen is one of seven players slated to compete in the event. Among the other participants will be Amy Duran (Connecticut), Jessica Gaspar (North Carolina), Rene Hanebutt (Texas Tech), Amy Geren (Clemson), Aubrey Eblin (Old Dominion) and Kelly Long (Western Michigan).

ESPN analyst Dick Vitale will be joined courtside by Brad Nessler and reporter Jay Bilas during the competition.
