AUBURN, Ala. – Samantha Maxwell and Katie Casey each earned individual wins Friday evening at Auburn’s James E. Aquatics Center. Despite their efforts, Notre Dame (0-2) fell to the host Tigers (197-101) and LSU (155.33-141.66) in the double dual meet.
Auburn defeated LSU, 175-123, to complete the sweep.
Notre Dame now travels to Michigan State for a 5:00 p.m. (ET) matchup on Oct. 29.

50 Freestyle: Amywren Miller (23.28) finished just behind LSU’s Jane Trepp (22.98), who was first.
100 Freestyle: Auburn took the first four spots while Amy Prestinario (52.85) was fifth.
200 Freestyle: Gracie Fredlake (1:52.02), who was fourth, was the highest finisher for Notre Dame.
500 Freestyle: Fredlake (4:59.30) tapped in for the silver.
1,000 Freestyle: Lauren Sylvester went 10:11.51 for second place.
100 Backstroke: Third-place honors went to three swimmers, including Kim Holden (57.42) and Kelly Ryan (57.42).
200 Backstroke: Holden took the bronze for the second time (2:02.79).
100 Breaststroke: Maxwell topped the podium in a brisk 1:03.00.
200 Breaststroke: Maxwell could not complete the sweep, taking third in 2:17.26 … Lauren Stauder (2:21.62) was fourth.
100 Butterfly: Casey (55.71) was fourth overall, with Lauren Scott (56.92) taking sixth.
200 Butterfly: Casey (2:01.21) won by nearly one second, as Sara Haley (2:02.18) of LSU placed second.
200 Individual Medley: Maxwell tried her hand in the event and finished sixth in 2:07.50.
1-meter Diving: Heidi Grossman (266.03) and Jenny Chiang (265.80) finished third and fourth, respectively.
3-meter Diving: Grossman (285.83) was fourth, one spot in front of Chiang (253.43).
200 Freestyle Relay: The Irish placed third in 1:34.87.
400 Medley Relay: Taking silver was Notre Dame’s A-team, who touched the wall in 3:45.80.
