Max Ellis Named Big Ten’s Second Star of the Week

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Following a four-point weekend, Notre Dame sophomore forward Max Ellis has been named the Big Ten’s Second Star of the Week (Jan. 13). 

Ellis posted a pair of assists to help the Irish to a 5-3 win over Arizona State in game one of the weekend series (Jan. 9) and followed up with his first career two-goal game in game two (Jan. 10). It marked his second and third multi-point games of his career. 

Ellis, a Canton, Michigan native, has skated in all 12 games for the Irish this season and has eight points on two goals and six assists. 

It marks Ellis’ first career weekly Big Ten honor.
