Live Video Streaming Available For The Shillelagh Tournament

Notre Dame, Ind. – College hockey fans will be able to catch all of the action of the 2011 Shillelagh Tournament that will be played Jan. 1-2, 2011 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Ill., via live video streaming by America One Broadband Broadcasting who will handle the live broadband broadcasts of the game.

For just $10 per day, college hockey fans will be able to see two hockey games each day via American One Broadband Broadcasting at the following link (http://www.b2livetv.com/partner_members.asp?id=368).

The 2011 Shillelagh Tournament Schedule is as follows:

Saturday, Jan. 1 - 3:05 p.m. (CT)Boston University vs. Brown

Notre Dame will play the late game on Jan. 2 win or lose on Jan. 1 and Minnesota State will play in the first game on Jan. 2 win or lose on Jan. 1.

On Saturday night, former Chicago Blackhawk great Denis Savard will be on hand to sign autographs and drop the first puck. This is the third season for the Shillelagh Tournament that is hosted by Notre Dame and the Sears Centre Arena. The Irish have won each of the first two tournaments, defeating Minnesota-Duluth in the 2009 title game and North Dakota (in a shootout) in the 2010 Tournament.

Notre Dame brings an 11-6-2 overall record into the tournament (the Irish play Wednesday night at home versus Canisius) and are currently in first place in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association with a 9-4-1-1 record and a one-point lead on Michigan and a two-point lead on Miami in the league standings. The Irish are ranked 12th in both the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine and USCHO.com polls.

Boston University is 8-4-5 on the year and in third place in Hockey East, just two points out of first place. The Terriers are ranked 11th in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine poll and 10th by USCHO.com.

Brown University is 3-4-4 on the year and currently ninth in the ECAC hockey league, seven points behind league leaders Yale and Princeton.

Minnesota State brings a 6-8-4 record into the Shillelagh Tournament and is tied for eight in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) at the midway point of the 2010-11 campaign.
