Senior forward Becca Bruszewski is one of eight monogram winners and two starters who will be returning for Notre Dame from last year's NCAA Sweet 16 squad that posted a 29-6 record.

Limited Number Of Women's Basketball Season Tickets To Go On Sale Wednesday

Sept. 13, 2010

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – A limited number of season ticket packages for the 2010-11 Notre Dame women’s basketball season will go on sale Wednesday (Sept. 15), it was announced Monday. These tickets will be available for purchase through Notre Dame’s Murnane Family Ticket Office, which can be reached by phone (574-631-7356) or in person from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET) weekdays at Gate 9 inside the new Rosenthal Atrium at Purcell Pavilion. What’s more, women’s basketball season tickets may be purchased on-line 24 hours a day by visiting the official Fighting Irish athletics ticket web page at www.und.com/tickets — service charges may apply.

For less than $4 per game, fans are guaranteed to see 18 home contests inside Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center, with featured matchups against defending national champion Connecticut, in-state rival Purdue and the WBCA Classic, a unique three-day, three-game tournament that will be hosted by Notre Dame during Thanksgiving weekend.

Also included in this year’s packages are numerous special gifts designed exclusively for Fighting Irish season ticket holders. Those amenities include: a reserved seat at the newly-renovated Purcell Pavilion (which will feature a new high-definition, center-hung scoreboard and enhanced sound system beginning in 2010-11), a distinctive “Spirit Patrol” season ticket holder t-shirt for every season ticket purchased, a copy of the official ’10-11 Notre Dame women’s basketball media guide (one per season ticket account), as well as invitations to exclusive season ticket holder events and special discounts.

Pricing for this year’s women’s basketball ticket packages remains among the best entertainment values anywhere, with individual season tickets starting at $60 apiece. The Fighting Irish women’s basketball “Fan Pack” of four season tickets is on sale starting at $170, with each additional “Fan Pack” ticket costing $35. These amounts do not include an additional processing fee of $20 per season ticket order (not each ticket).

Due to a high renewal rate for returning Notre Dame women’s basketball season tickets in 2010-11, as well as capacity limitations resulting from the renovations at Purcell Pavilion, the number of remaining season tickets is extremely limited. Thus, potential new season ticket holders for Fighting Irish women’s basketball are strongly encouraged to buy their ticket packages right away when they go on sale Wednesday (Sept. 15). Single-game tickets will be made available for purchase at a later date.

“The season ticket renewal rate has been tremendous,” said Stephanie Menio, coordinator of basketball operations. “We are so excited to have a packed arena again this year. We are also excited about welcoming new season ticket holders into our family. I would tell anyone interested in purchasing season tickets to do it on September 15th.”

According to the final 2009-10 NCAA attendance figures, Notre Dame ranked fourth in the nation (the highest finish in program history) with a school-record average of 8,377 fans per game. The Fighting Irish also attracted six sellout crowds among their 17 home games, including their final four regular-season home games. Notre Dame returns eight monogram winners, including two starters, from last year’s squad that posted a 29-6 record and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 for the eighth time in the past 14 seasons.
