NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Did you know that 13 of the 17 University of Notre Dame softball players that led the Irish to hosting the 2015 NCAA South Bend Regional were past attendees of Irish softball summer camps? The stars of Notre Dame today developed their skills at an early age, and thanks to a pair of dynamic summer camp opportunities, you too can learn the `Irish Way.’

Notre Dame’s 2014 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Mid-Atlantic Region Coaching Staff of the Year and select players will host a pair of instructional camp sessions this summer, holding a multi-skills youth day camp in June and an advanced skills day camp in July on the Notre Dame campus.

For an affordable price, campers receive hours of elite instruction from one of the most storied softball programs in the nation during these two camp sessions.

The Notre Dame multi-skills youth camp will run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. (ET) on Monday, June 22 through Wednesday, June 24, and is specifically designed for girls ages 5 to 11. The camp will cover hitting, defense, pitching, catching and baserunning. No live games will be played during this session.

The cost for the three-day youth camp is $195 per player, with check-in scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on June 22. This session is great for beginner to intermediate level players looking to learn and further sharpen their fundamental softball skills.

Notre Dame softball’s new advanced skills camp will run from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. (ET) on Monday, July 13 through Wednesday, July 15, and is specifically designed for girls ages 11 to 18. The advanced camp will cover hitting, defense, pitching, catching, baserunning, and actual games will be played as part of the camp experience.

Advanced skills camp venues include Melissa Cook Stadium and the Charles and Marie Doherty Batting Cages, the Frank Eck Baseball Stadium and indoor cages, the Stinson Rugby Field and the Loftus Sports Center. A catered boxed lunch will be provided each day.

The cost for the three-day advanced skills camp is $470 per player, with check-in scheduled for 9 a.m. on July 13. This session is designed for experienced softball players looking to take their skills to an elite level.

Campers will also have the opportunity to go through a video analysis of their hitting, pitching, or both for an additional cash payment at check-in. The cost is a $40 flat fee for hitting or pitching and $65 for both options.
