NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Le’Quita Beaton has been named assistant athletic trainer at the University of Notre Dame and will serve as the trainer for the men’s and women’s cross country/track & field programs.

Beaton has worked in athletic training for eight years. Since 2006, she has served as the head athletic trainer at Burlington County College.

Prior to her employment at Burlington County College, she worked from 2005-06 as the head athletic trainer at Nazareth Hospital Theraplex Outpatient Rehabilitation Center. In her position there, Beaton helped to initiate the athletic training program to the physical therapy clinic.

In the spring semester of ’05 Beaton served as a temporary assistant athletic trainer at Drexel University, where she worked primarily with the women’s lacrosse team.

During the 2003-04 school year, she was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at California University of Pennsylvania. While there she also served as head athletic trainer at Brownsville Area High School and Middle School.

Beaton worked as a physical therapist aide at Novacare Outpatient Rehabilitation Center during 2002-03. Prior to that she served on athletic training clinical rotations at Rowan University from 1999-03.

Beaton is an ’03 graduate of Rowan University with a bachelor of arts degree in health and exercise science/athletic training. In addition, she received her masters of science in athletic training from California University of Pennsylvania in 2004.
