NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Traveling for their second to last regular-season meet this weekend, a total of 13 University of Notre Dame track and field student-athletes hit the road for Drake University to compete in the Drake Relays meet.

The men’s travel party features no runners, but has three top field performers in Matt Birzer (high jump) and Nick Hauser and Anthony Shivers (throws). Birzer notably finished second at the ACC Indoor Championship in the high jump event, posting a personal best of 2.10m. Both Shivers and Hauser have had strong outdoor seasons, with several top-five finishes shared between them.
For the women, senior sprinters Margaret Bamgbose and Kaila Barber lead an up-and-coming underclassmen group, featuring Allison Bartoszewicz, Parker English, Kyla Lewis, Payton Miller and Jordan Shead. Also making the trip are field performers Emily Carson (jumps) and Indi Jackson (throws), as well as multi-eventer Carly Loeffel.
