Notre Dame, Ind

For the first time in Notre Dame history, ESPN’s College GameDay will broadcast live from the Joyce Center at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2009. College GameDay is hosted by Rece Davis and includes analysis by former Notre Dame head coach Digger Phelps, Jay Bilas, Hubert Davis and hall-of-famer Bobby Knight. They will preview and breakdown college hoops action from around the nation including the weekend’s marquee matchup between Notre Dame and Connecticut.

College GameDay will give Notre Dame students and fans the opportunity to show a national television audience why the Joyce Center is one of the premier venues in college hoops. Fans in attendance will enjoy contests, giveaways, and more. One contest winner in attendance will receive four free tickets to that night’s game against Connecticut from Digger Phelps. The event will also feature the Notre Dame marching band, cheerleaders, and the pom squad.

Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. for students and at 10:00 a.m. for the general public.

Notre Dame was selected as one of only eight campuses to host ESPN’s College GameDay this season.
