Join Irish Volleyball For Sunday's Dig Pink Match

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame volleyball team will play host to USF on Sunday which will coincide with the program’s Dig Pink match.

Notre Dame raised a national-best $10,300 last fall in an effort to support Dig Pink, a national initiative devoted to promoting breast cancer awareness spearheaded by the Side-Out Foundation. The Irish also led the nation in 2008 by raising $6,655. The program aims once again to raise over $10,000 in 2011. The Secret Sisters Society of South Bend will receive a portion of this year’s proceeds.

Sunday’s BIG EAST Conference volleyball match again USF begins at 2:00 p.m. (ET).

Fans can dive into the action early by participating in an online jersey auction by visiting UND.com.

There will also be a silent auction featuring a number of fabulous items: two Notre Dame hockey tickets for the Nov. 18 game against Boston College at Compton Family Ice Arena, an autographed volleyball by the Irish squad, basketballs signed by Mike Brey and Muffet McGraw, signed football by Brian Kelly, signed football by Joe Montana, signed basketball by the 2011 women’s basketball Final Four squad and much, much more.

Also on sale during the match – and throughout the season – will be `Dig Pink’ t-shirts.
