Jimmy Dunne Presented With Honorary Monogram

Jimmy Dunne (’78) became the latest member of the Monogram Club family as he received an honorary Monogram for his many contributions to Notre Dame Athletics. The surprise presentation took place September 27 inside the Irish Athletics Center during a special dinner for the lead donors of the new indoor facility for football and soccer. Fittingly, Ron Powlus (’97, football) presented Dunne with his jacket for his efforts as “quarterback” of the donors who made the facility a reality.

Dunne is senior managing principal of Sandler O’Neill, which he co-founded in 1988 after working at Bear Stearns. Sandler O’Neill is the largest independent full-service investment banking firm focused on financial service companies. Dunne also sits on the University of Notre Dame’s Board of Trustees. He graduated from Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Read more about Jimmy Dunne
