Senior middle distance specialist Jeremy Rae, a member of Notre Dame's National Champion Distance Medley Relay Team, was poised for victory in the 1,500 meters at the World University Games in Kazan, Russia in July of 2013 until a brush with a competitor in the race threw him off his stride.
