Jeff Jackson Apologizes For Recent Remarks On CCHA Officiating

Jan. 26, 2012

Notre Dame, Ind. – University of Notre Dame hockey coach Jeff Jackson has issued the following apology for recent remarks made in a story on the college hockey website USCHO.com.

“During a recent interview, I made some inappropriate remarks regarding CCHA officiating,” said Jackson.

“It was wrong for me to do so, and for that I would like to express my sincere apology. As a team, one of our foundational elements is respect as referenced in the Golden Rule. In this instance, I let my emotions get the better of me and I did not uphold this principle.”

Jackson and his Notre Dame hockey team are currently in Fairbanks, Alaska as they prepare for this weekend’s CCHA series against the University of Alaska Nanooks on Jan. 27 and 28.
