Irish Women's Golf Heads To Florida State Match-Up

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Fighting Irish women’s golf team continues its season at the 2021 Florida State Women’s Match-Up on February 26-28, at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course (par 72/6,255 yards).

It will mark the eighth time Florida State has hosted the event, with 2013-15 taking place at the Southwood Golf Course (Tallahassee, Florida), while the 2016-18 tournaments were played at the Don Veller Seminole Golf Course (Tallahassee, Florida). In 2020, the tournament was contested at the Bay Point Golf Club (Panama City, Florida).

“We’re looking forward to returning to Florida State’s event,” head coach Susan Holt said. “This is a completely renovated golf course from the last time we played in this event and it will be the first time a collegiate event has been hosted since the renovation, which should make it even more memorable.”

After nearly a year without collegiate competition, the Fighting Irish opened the season at Purdue’s Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate on Feb. 7-9 at the Founders Club where they finished 12th. Freshman Chloe Schiavone (78-71-73=222) was Notre Dame’s top finisher as she tied for 28th in her Irish debut.

“I’m excited to watch this team compete again and make the necessary individual improvements since our last event,” Holt added.
