NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Irish women’s distance medley relay stole the show at the famous Drake Relays on Saturday, not only winning the event in dominant fashion with a time of 11:03.25 but setting the meet record in the process.
The DMR team of Olivia Markezich (3:23.7 – 1,200m), Kelly Hart (55.3 – 400m), Erin Sullivan (2:09.8 – 800m) and Katie Wasserman (4:34.5 – 1,600m) finished in 11:03.25, exactly eight seconds ahead of the second place team.
The victory puts an exclamation mark on an impressive weekend for Irish distance runners at the Drake Relays.

At the final day of the Clark Wood Invitational in Louisville, Maura Kimmel and Rachel Tanczos each turned in podium performances in the discus throw. Kimmel placed second with a mark of 51.04m while Tanczos took third with a distance of 49.17m.
Notre Dame is back in action next weekend on Saturday, May 1, as the program hosts the first ever meet at the Harris Family Track and Field Stadium on campus, the Bob Harris Open.
