Irish Women Capture Louisville Classic Title

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame women’s cross country team claimed their second meet title in as many outings on Saturday morning, winning the Louisville Classic in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Irish came out on top of the seven-team meet by posting a score of 47 points to best a trio of SEC teams in Ole Miss (54), Kentucky (76) and Tennessee (93).

For the second straight meet Jessica Schneider set the pace for the Irish, crossing the line sixth with a time of 17:01.9. Erin Archibeck (7th – 17:08.3) and AnnaSophia Keller (9th – 17:10.9) also logged top 10 performances for Notre Dame. Olivia Markezich (12th – 17:20.9) and Erin Strzelecki (13th – 17:23.6) rounded out the scoring to complete a strong showing from the team.

UP NEXT

The Notre Dame men’s and women’s program will wrap up the fall schedule by competing for a conference title at the ACC Championship on Friday, Oct. 30 in Cary, North Carolina.
