Irish Women's Swimming Welcomes New Class

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s swimming and diving head coach Mike Litzinger officially unveiled the incoming Notre Dame women’s swimming signees and next crop of Irish talent on Thursday.

The six standout swimmers, Sinead Eksteen (Vienna, Virginia), Sammie Eyolfson (Boise, Idaho), Madeline LaPorte (Vienna, Virginia), Sarah Nicholls (Liberty Lake, Washington), Bayley Stewart (Fort Collins, Colorado) and Luciana Thomas (Fayetteville, Arkansas), will join seven peers from the men’s swimming side as members of the Notre Dame program in 2018-19.

“Each year our coaching staff has identified incredible talent, and has worked hard to get them to Notre Dame,” Litzinger said. “This year is no exception. These young ladies will help continue the great momentum we have created at Notre Dame, and put us in a position to challenge for an ACC Championship as well as a top-10 NCAA finish. We welcome them and their families to ours at the University of Notre Dame.”
