Irish Volleyball Reveals Spring Schedule

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Coming off a 22-win 2016 campaign, the Notre Dame volleyball program will look to build upon its success with four competition dates in the spring in preparation of the 2017 season.

Highlighting the spring slate is Notre Dame’s home match against Valparaiso at Noon on Saturday, April 1. The match will be played in the North Dome of the Joyce Center.

The Irish open the spring schedule with an intrastate match at Ball State in Muncie. The contest is slated for Saturday, March 25 and will be played at the Munciana Volleyball Club at 4 p.m. ET. After the home match against Valparaiso the Irish head back on the road to face Marquette in Chicago on April 8 at 5 p.m. ET. The match will be played at Mother McAuley High School.

Notre Dame will wrap up the spring schedule in West Lafayette, as the Irish will play a trio of matches at Purdue on Saturday, April 22. The Irish are scheduled to play Indiana at noon and then take on Purdue at 1:15 p.m. The team closes out the day with a 2:30 p.m. contest against Ball State 2:30 p.m. All times for all the matches are Eastern Time.

The Irish produced their most wins in a season since 2005, finishing 2016 with a record of 22-10. Notre Dame went 13-7 in conference play, marking the most ACC victories in program history. Of the 22 victories, 16 came in straight set fashion.
