Irish Travel To Boston For Thanksgiving Games

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame ships up to Boston for a pair of contests at Boston University and Boston College over the holiday week.

The No. 19 Irish are set to face off against the 11th-ranked Terriers Wednesday evening on ESPNU. Puck drop inside Agganis Arena is set for 5 p.m.

Notre Dame returns to the ice Friday afternoon for a 4 p.m. matchup at Conte Forum against the BC Eagles (ESPN+).

  • Notre Dame continues its road stretch with a pair of games on the East Coast, following a weekend series in Columbus, Ohio. 
  • After dropping game one of the series with the Buckeyes, the Irish bounced back to a 1-0 win Saturday night.
  • Jack Adams and Fin Williams both scored their first goals of the season at OSU, including the first collegiate point for J. Williams.

  • BU is currently 7-4-0 in 2022-23, having most recently split a series with the Huskies of Northeastern.

NOTRE DAME vs. BOSTON COLLEGE

  • Last season the Irish and Eagles met with Notre Dame taking the 8-2 decision at home. 
  • That contest saw eight current Irish skaters highlight the box score, including Grant Silianoff with a career-best four points (1-3-4). Ryder Rolston also tallied his first career hat trick against the Eagles, scoring the eventual game-winner at 11:33 of the second period en route to a three-point night.
  • Along with Silianoff, Rolston and Jesse Lansdell also recorded career-high nights with Rolstons three goals and points and Lansdell’s goal and assist make for a career-best two points for the senior.
  • In 10 games played this season, the Eagles are 4-4-2 this season. including a three game unbeaten streak (2-0-1).  

TEAM LEADERS

  • Ryder Rolston’s four goals and five assists, and Chayse Primeau’s three goals and seven assists, leads the Irish in points (10).
  • Rolston and Nick Leivermann each have four goals for a team best while Primeau’s seven assists leads the Irish. 
  • Trevor Janicke’s powerplay goal in game one against the Wildcats turned into the game-winner and was his second on the man-advantage this season. Justin Janicke, Jesse Lansdell, Grant Silianoff and Leivermann also hold game-winners. 
  • Always willing to jump in front of a shot, Jake Boltmann’s 32 blocks leads the team and is fifth nationally.
